Mapping water mains network
Large amounts of water are used in industry. The food industry is no exception. FrieslandCampina complies with the Dutch Occupational Health and Safety Act (Arbowet) and the Drinking Water Decree (Drinkwaterbesluit), strongly focusing on preventing legionella transmission. Legionella transmission poses a serious public health threat.
FrieslandCampina in Leeuwarden has drawn up a compulsory Risk Analysis and a Control Plan that goes with it. In this context, Stevens Engineering has mapped the entire water mains network and made up-to-date installation drawings of it. All drain points were identified, and the water installation has been screened for empty conduits as well as conduits that might get heated unintentionally.
